Over the Moon...

Adopting children has become a very common practice among all kinds of families. And although the circumstances surrounding the adoption are different for every child, there is a striking similarity in the kinds of questions and issues adopted children face.  It is really, really important for families to keep the lines of communication open with their adopted children from a young age. Whether you are an aunt to adopted nieces and nephews, or even considering adoption yourself, children’s books can make the difficult questions easier to answer.  Here is a great book to add to your collection.

Over The Moon: An Adoption Tale By Karen Katz Accomplished children’s book author & illustrator Karen Katz incorporates her own experience in adoption a child from Guatemala. This story is a really nice addition for families who have gone through the international adoption process and for children who have lived in foster care before being adopted.
